SERIOUSLY – ISN’T  IT TIME  FOR  A  LITTLE  HUMOR
 
                      FISHING IS INCREDIBLE….ADDING A GARAGE IS CHALLENGING
 
MY PROFESSIONAL THOUGHTS…REAL ESTATE AND THE PANDEMIC: 
At the beginning of 2020, the housing market was strong…based on economic gains and low mortgage rates.  Now with the pandemic, the housing industry is waiting and watching.  So it would seem that whatever sales are missed in the short term would rebound strongly later in the year.  During the 1987 Correction and 9/11, housing prices remained on the rise.
 
Recently, prior to the pandemic, many buyers were in the market place.  Now, for sellers, open houses can be restricted to one potential buyer every twenty minutes or virtual open houses.  Listings and sales contracts can be executed electronically or with strict adherence to the social distance guidelines.  External appraisals may be possible.  Title companies “close” transactions by appointment with a more limited workforce. We, as agents, now work remotely as reasonably possible.  There again for sellers, and not to be forgotten, some buyers need to buy now.
 
Sellers still “sell” and buyers still “buy”.
 
MY ONLY REGRET…no more hugs at closings from grandmothers.
